A visit to Aberdyfi / Aberdovey is not complete without a spot of crabbing from the jetty!  All you need is a crabbing line (available from many of the shops in Aberdyfi), a bucket to put your catch in, and some bait.

Crabbing is so much fun, for Children, Mums, Dads and Grandparents.

Its what everyone talks about, their catch, the size of the crabs and of course the quantity!

Its most important to keep them in a bucket of sea water and not tap water. Don't forget to release the crabs back to their natural habitat.

The beach and sand dunes at Aberdyfi / Aberdovey are the perfect place  for walking, relaxing, maybe even a swim on a hot sunny day!

Ice Creams, snacks and refreshments can all be purchased from the array of shops nearby.

So grab your buckets and spades and lets see who can build the best sandcastle.

Donkey Rides are available too from Dyfi donkeys, near the children's park!

Kite surfing is a popular sport which takes place all year round in Aberdyfi.

If you want some tuition then contact Shem a local guy with loads of experience, he runs Kite Surf Wales www.kitesurfwales.co.uk

Sail boarding is another popular sport.  Aberdyfi is usually visited twice a year by Boardwise www.boardwise.co.uk where you get the chance to try out the very latest equipment.

There is also Dinghy Racing to watch at weekends and during the Dovey Regatta Fortnight www.doveyyachtclub.org.uk
